How fast your site loads is a number, not an opinion.
Google measures every site on the same scale, and it publishes the result. This runs that measurement on yours, on a phone and on a desktop, and shows you what it says. No email, no login, no call first.
Reading the result
A score isn't a diagnosis.
It tells you something is slow. It can't tell you what, and the difference matters more than the number does.
This site once measured 3.1 seconds of render delay on a phone while the server was handing over the page in 210 milliseconds. The hosting was fine. An entrance animation that ran before the text was allowed to paint was not. Same score either way, and the two problems have nothing in common.
So a low number is a symptom worth having. It just isn’t the thing you fix.
Speed is also only one place people fall off. A site can load in a second and still lose the booking, because the phone number isn’t tappable or the form asks for nine fields. Worth knowing where you stand on both.
The next thing to look at
Speed is one drop-off point. There are usually four.
The Lead-Path Map draws the path a customer walks from first finding you to actually booking you, with every weak handoff marked. It's free, it's specific to your business, and it comes back within two business days.
